Sai is one of three puppies we met on the street in our village rolling in tied plastic bags. With them were their captors. Fortunately, we were quickly able to convince them to give up what they had planned and hand the puppies over to us.
Saicho was very unremarkable as a young dog – the smallest puppy in the litter, with a plainer coat than his sisters and crooked hind legs. At the same time, there was something very sweet and charming about him. His family chose him because he was quiet and calm and would be able to coexist successfully with an adult male dog. Cy did not disappoint them and did even more – won their hearts. Today, Cy lives on as a much-loved dog and takes on the role of best friend to the two young children in the family. A few months after he went to live with his people in Holland, he had to have surgery on his hind legs, in which our foundation and his family contributed equally to the costs.
